I especially loved your references to the Top Shelf Interviews—a staple of my teenage years, I spent countless hours reading those—and to Breakfast at Tiffany’s, whose getting-ready-for-Sing-Sing scene has always stuck with me. (The way Paul is swiftly recruited into scouring for alligator shoes under the bed and holding up a mailbox turned beauty prep station for a woman he met 5 minutes ago is amazing and exactly the kind of power I aspire to wield.)
